WELCOME!
To the Tennessee District of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. The Tennessee District is part of Appalachian Region N.  We are the world's largest single-marque social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing motorcycles, and, some would say, the world's largest family.  Dedicated to our motto, Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge, GWRRA members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a non-profit, non-religious and non-political organization.
September 20th, the District is planning a Middle/West TN Ride In.  All TN Chapters are welcome.  We have set it up as follows;
Location:  David Crockett Park Restaurant in Lawrenceburg TN.   http://tnstateparks.com/parks/about/david-crockett
The cost for the Buffet is $8.95; they also have a menu to order from. The restaurant is open for lunch from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We hope all the chapters can be there around 11:30 or 12:00 Noon. They have plenty of seating in the dining room. They do not have any outside patio for seating but they do have a lot of shady area which would work well for sitting around and visiting. We will just have to bring chairs if we want to sit around and visit. Here is the web site for the park.
W need to get this out to your chapters as soon as we can. The purpose is to get the chapters together and reacquaint the chapter members from middle TN. This is set up as middle/west TN Ride–In but all TN chapters are invited to join in the fun. This way all the chapters can put their own ride together and meet for a good lunch and visit then ride home. The District is trying to promote more riding and riding with other chapters as a group.

From the Director
TN District Directors

GWRRA 2014 Chapter Educators of the Year.
Spring Fling is coming together and its looking like we are going to have some great things to offer. The Dinner Cruise after closing ceremonies is going to be great. A river boat ride and a meal will be a great way to close out the convention. A plus is we don’t have to ride the bike down to the river, transportation will be provided for us. Don’t forget about the dunking booth. We also are going to have some great bike games and competition. We are also going to have the North Carolina Drill Team perform again this year. There is going to be some great entertainment again this year. We don’t want to forget the ladies event. Bill and Glenda are still putting things together for us to have fun with. Oh yea we will have vendors. Make your plans to attend and bring many friends.

Working with Max Thomas to put together a Horizons program sometime in November. This should be completed in the next few weeks. Will put it out as soon as we get everything worked out. Hopefully this will be a one day event. Rider Education is having a rider course class in Winchester in early September. They are also are working on a class in Cleveland in October. I want to encourage everyone to take advantage of these classes.

Don’t forget the big Labor Day weekend at the Opry land Hotel at the end of the month hosted by National. Hope to see you there.

Gary and Patti Hamilton, GWRRA Tennessee District Director
